Is there a way to have the navigation map take up the whole screen, instead of 3/4, and the sub menu?

You should be able to select split screen or full screen in the iDrive. I can't remember specifically how to do so, but it was easy.

[/quote]I think I am remembering incorrectly. I think that option was on my wife's X5. I think my 545i iDrive/Nav always required split screen.

 

Can't be done. At least, not yet. You can get the map on both screens, but when you do it's still a split screen with a larger version on the left and the same map in a smaller version on the right.

 

If you can get a full screen map on your E60... you are driving a prototype with Munich license plate and computer equipment in the trunk...

 

The only full screen is the main menu...

 

Except in prototypes...
