OK, but what am I supposed to do with the 5 meter cable? It will connect to the CCC but it looks like it will not connect to the TCU since all spots are taken. The box attached to the TCU has one free spot but it's one of the four pin connectors. Don't want CIC, I have it in the F10 and 3000 is a bit too much for navigation. maybe when I eventually sell car, the replacement will have it. Besides, I can buy a lot of beer with 3000....

The blue plug connected to TCU is the GPS antenna from the shark fin. You need to connect it to CCC by running the extension cable from trunk to head unit. Keep in mind, TCU is likely to throw an error - "SOS system failure" in your cluster. You need to code it out.

Ah ok, I had just popped that one off and took a look so I know which ends to get. It seems to be the same as the back of the CCC. Do you happen to know which module the SOS sit in? and is it one that goes from aktiv to nicht aktiv? Thanks again!

Thanks, I'll be on the lookout for this warning, as I am sure I won't miss it. I emailed a place yesterday for the FAKRA cable and they came back with a price of $85.00 shipped. I will continue to look a little more. It seems as the connection on the TCU and CCC are identical so the cable needs to have to same ends on it. I connected a spare antenna to the TCU yesterday and confirmed this. Curious, if its possible to split the signal or something like a Y adaptor?

Dude, you make your life complicated. Here is link to eBay for $16 shipped. Use your spare antena for TCU to keep it happy. No coding necessary.

+1. That eBay link is from rfsupplier which I mention in my other post. $85 is way too much.

Your link didn't come through. I only see it when I reply and it's not active. Again, if there is only one port for the antenna on the TCU and I connect the CCC to this what am I supposed to connect this old GPS antenna that I was using to, to keep the TCU happy??? Thats why i questioned if a splitter could be used.

Would the TCU still need the GPS antenna for if you no longer have BMW assist? I would think not...need to confirm. When I upgraded to the CIC, the sharkfin antenna moved to that. If you're worried about it, use your spare for the TCU as dbond says.

Oh...I think using a splitter may degrade the signal.
