Hi all,
My 535d recently went in for a firmware update to the latest version. Since then I get getting a navigation DVD error message on the Idrive screen and the Nav stops working. When I take the DVD out it seems very very hot - soemtimes if i re-insert it then it works immediately but then goes off again after 10-15 mins and sometimes it doesnt work at all unless i re-insert it and swtich the car off for at least 10 mins.
I explained this to the dealer over the phone and they reckon its nothing to do with the firmware update (strange as this never happened before) and its more like a laser lens error.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Has this ever happend to your car? Mines a 2006 06 535d in the UK.
Thanks
