There is a particular stretch of HWY that's grayed out on a regularly traveled route. For some reason, this happened today where the NAV didn't select the HWY even though it would be quicker. Also, I noticed that the HWY color indicator was gray for the stretch (about 3 miles of HWY). Any ideas what the issue is?? I recently added a new NAV disk, but this was working for weeks now on this HWY.

I put the old NAV disk in last night and it did show this stretch of HWY. This is not a new HWY and have not been altered.

I just bought the newest update 2010.1 ... there are two dvds. All the updates that I needed. the 2009.1 is easy found on pirate bay as well as the euro version and a speed cam based on the 2009.1

Thanks.

Thank You Very much. Just downloaded it yesterday and burned it with NERO. Works great, love the red light camera option...

I live in a newer subdivision and the NAV thought I was offroading every time I went home. So I updated my disc with one from these guys - works like a charm, no problems at all, and only $50. Cheap enough to upgrade every other year!

I assume this will work for my 2006 550i. Not really sure what version I have right now but my current resident does not show up. If possible, can someone who has performed the upgrade find out if my address is on it?

I also notice that my sister 2005 645ci does have the street of where I live yet my 2006 550i does not. May be her nav has been updated, she doesn't really know because it was a used car, just like mine.

Thanks guys...

I think when they're talking about modifying the firmware they're referring to other BMW's. For example, my '05 Z4 has NAV but does not have idrive. I've successfully upgraded the software version, changed the splash screen, modified directional icons, changed the NAV voice to a female Brit's voice, etc.... all on the Z4.
