My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i
i was driving and came to a stop, and my screen turned dim then 3 seconds later went blank. about 10 seconds later my screen came back on and my navigation has worked since. what exactly happened and is there a fix for this?

Well since its working fine since what is there to fix? The NAV is software driven... it most likely was just a glitch and rebooted itself. Theres nothing to be alarmed unless its a constant recurrence. Have you ever taken it to the dealer and got your software updated? You're probably running a old software version but if this is the only problem you've had then I wouldnt touch a thing... Just keep enjoying your wonderful car.
