AUX input
#1
Hello,
I have got a BMW 5 series '05 build, RHD. I have no possibility to attach an iPod or any device via AUX or otherwise, there is simply no connection. I was quoted ?460 for putting in just an AUX connector!!! Are there any other ways of listening to my iPOd, e.g. the Dension FM modulator kit? I know this is not perfect, but better than nothing but a regular CD drive!
Thanks a lot, Henrik (Chester, UK)

I ran into the same problem. My dealer wanted $400-500 for the AUX input connector claiming that the bulk of the cost is for programming. Since I am leasing my car for 3 yrs, I just can't see it being worthwhile. My car, being a '03 build can't be retrofitted to play MP3. Since yours is an '05 build, you should be able to (based on what I have read on the Board). See attached SIB
Thanks for the PDF. I do not have a navigation system however and thus (I believe) no CCC. Can somebody confirm this? And does that make it totally impossibe to generate MP3 capability?
Best wishes, Henrik

Hey if that's the price, i wouldn't bother. That's called stealing.
As you say. Take it - or leave it.
