Hello,
I have got a BMW 5 series '05 build, RHD. I have no possibility to attach an iPod or any device via AUX or otherwise, there is simply no connection. I was quoted ?460 for putting in just an AUX connector!!! Are there any other ways of listening to my iPOd, e.g. the Dension FM modulator kit? I know this is not perfect, but better than nothing but a regular CD drive!
Thanks a lot, Henrik (Chester, UK)

Still selling.
I ran into the same problem. My dealer wanted $400-500 for the AUX input connector claiming that the bulk of the cost is for programming. Since I am leasing my car for 3 yrs, I just can't see it being worthwhile. My car, being a '03 build can't be retrofitted to play MP3. Since yours is an '05 build, you should be able to (based on what I have read on the Board). See attached SIB

...just imagaine that I was talking ???, that is almost $1000! This is crazy, the most expensive input socket ever...

Thanks for the PDF. I do not have a navigation system however and thus (I believe) no CCC. Can somebody confirm this? And does that make it totally impossibe to generate MP3 capability?

Best wishes, Henrik

A prime example of "supply and demand". Like everyone else they charge what they can get away with.

As you say. Take it - or leave it.

Advanced Voice Input allows you to give commands via voice. Make using iDrive so much simpler.
