I am picking up my new 2007 X5 4.8 tomorrow, my question is if the DVD that comes with the X5 is newer version than whats my 07 550, can I upgrade the 550? If I can, how do I do this? Thanks

The best option is just to buy a new Navteq DVD. Or just use the current disk because the updates are quite incremental. I used my current DVD for three years and it is fine. Otherwise you would have to illegally copy the DVD to do so.

Spend $199 at the NAVTEQ website for the 2007-2 edition, or if you're only driving one car at a time, switch the DVD back and forth between the cars. Copying the disk will violate NAVTEQ's copyright, and could subject you to Federal prosecution. Is that likely to happen? No...but it might.
