Is there a way to change the NAV male voice to a female voice? I have a MY05 with a 2004-2 NAV disk. Help. I hate this guy voice.. so does my kid.

Please post your location. US cars have the female voice for NAV instructions. I-drive commands are confirmed with a male voice.

I would prefer it to be my own voice. Hopefully.

This has been discussed before...click here for some information about the voices.

On the E39, the dealer could change the voice from female to male but I'm not sure if that option is available on the E60. What's certain is that you can't change it yourself...

I wonder why BMW use different voices in different markets. I have three different female voices in my car in the UK - 1 for help info, 1 for Bluetooth and 1 for nav. No male voices at all thankfully.

Could this be because we are down trodden, subservient males in the UK used to taking instructions from women or (and I prefer to go with this) are we just the sexist chauvinist pigs that women accuse us of being?

I have one female voice for everything. It's allways the same voice, no differences!
