Is anyone in the Providence - Boston area having problem receiving traffic updates? I have not been receiving them for 3 days now - the iDrive says "no reception". The nav system is working fine - so is the satellite radio - just the traffic info is not available.

I can't help you confirm if it's working or not up there but in case it helps, I just wanted to add that real-time traffic has no bearing on the satellite radio signal. The traffic information is transmitted over FM frequencies.
In Providence, there are three stations that broadcast the signal:
WSNE 93.3
WHJY 94.1
WWBB 101.5
and in Boston, there are two:
WJMN 94.5
WXKS 107.9
If you are able to tune these stations, then you might have a problem with your car since I imagine that all five of these stations having problems with their traffic data transmissions would be an unlikely scenario. I guess it's possible that a failure somewhere else could cause all these stations to not get a signal to transmit so again, I can't help you out. Hopefully, someone else up there can give you some positive information...

If it happens frequently, then it still may be an issue with your car...
