Has anyone experienced any strange behavior with their Nav system? This last Friday night my Nav went all crazy on me. I started to head to downtown San Diego, but the Nav was indicating otherwise. By the time I got to my destination, according to my Nav I was somewhere east of Escondido in the mountains? I got my girlfriend to reboot my system, thinking that hopefully the Nav would re-orient itself but no such luck.
The next day we ran some errands, and almost the whole day the Nav system was mal-functioning. Around 5pm it started to correct itself, but was having like a schizophrenic episode. It was jumping around from the street we were actually on to being right on top of buildings. It managed to stay stable and correct for awhile. Later that night, we went back downtown and it was messed up again. One the way back home the Nav was correct. Same thing happened Sunday. It was messed up early in the day but by night it was fine. At one point the Nav had me in the Pacific Ocean!
I'm wondering what can be happening? Is my car malfunctioning or the GPS system? If other people had this problem then its the GPS? If not then it's my car. I'm willing to bet it's my car. I'd like to hear people's opinion. As a side note, since taking delivery of my car in April of this year I have not had a CIP update. I have not had to many problems except for the occassional window trapping(?) where as the window is going up, it will go back down for no reason.

Sorry, couldn't pass that up. Does sound like something wrong with GPS. Seems to be happening when you go downtown, could it be the tall building interfering w/ the signal from one of the satelittes, causing the system to give incorrect locations. Or have you been driving downtown before with no issues and this has suddenly occured?

[/quote]I didn't see that when I wrote it
But, this is the first time it has ever happened. The GPS system has always been correct so far. The more I think about it, I need to take my car in to get inspected. Also, I forgot to mention I have about 11K miles on the car. I will find out this Friday if it is still happening. I only drive my baby (car that is) on the weekends.
