Instructions from a 10/04 PDF from BMW TIS indicates Nav can be retrofit WITHOUT the factory prep kit. I just wonder if BMW will stick to the $1800 cost previously mandated to dealers

Very nice!

Do you have anything about retrofit for voice control. I have bought it from Factory, but BMW in Sweden says that they can't activate it !!

So i'm driving around with the voice control next to the Idrive controler, but I can't use it..

Is this for US cars too? this is great news. I just want to make sure this is possible for US cars before I call my dealer.

Lenk are you in the USA. Has anyone installed the navigation system in a E60 which in not prewired for navigation. My dealer is not aware of the instructions on the Lenk PDF file. he says the navigation cannot be installed without prewiring.

Thanks

I cannot claim to have authored the PDF it is true BMW "technical expertise" I have spoken with my dealer and he indicates that the kit is not available in the US although I have inspected the wiring involved and there is no reason to believe that the kit would not work.

I believe all the 6UA kit is is antenna wiring.

Brainstorm, maybe you can order the previous kit and just order the GPS antenna wiring separately. I cannot find the PDF for the parts list on the Nav retrofit.
