Default N62 (545) Vacuum Leaks

I'm going to be getting the car ready for some maintenance since the weather is starting to break. Have a couple DIY's I'm getting ready to tackle. Just as a precaution I want to check and see if my car has any vacuum leaks engine has 107k on it. I dont know where the common places are or where to start. I've read stuff on other platforms but need some help on how to carry this out. Could you guys offer some help on how to do this? I dont know much on the subject at all. Appreciate it.

There are few sources for vacuum leaks on this motor assuming you haven't caused one. There are a couple vacuum lines that run to the separators that clip into the valve covers and the breather lines that run to the throttle body area, but that's about it. Those don't tend to cause problems until you touch them. When I did my valve cover gaskets one of the plastic breather lines broke, but I easily replaced it with a piece of hose.

Thanks for the response... I havent caused one yet Im about to tackle the valve covers in about a week or so. Thought I might have had a vacuum leak this car acts retarded when its cold out on start up only but when it gets warm and the weather is warm its drives fine. Im famliar with the lines your referring to so Ill be sure to watch out for them. Pray for me on these covers I have enough info and notes on the job just keep hearing its tedious.
