Aright, two main things that by my knowledge are NOT covered under warranty are; tires, clutch. Its wear and tear. A newbie at stick cant go get a manual fry the clucth in a week just by learning it then get it replaced.

wow that "blow" word has been used alot here.. huh guys..lol.. whats all on your minds huh.. ;p
i was gonna say maybe you should really teach her how to drive it without ruining the clutch.. i learned on my first car and i rode the clutch a little here and there, but all i did was need a new throwout bearing.. not a new clutch.. maybe she just needs a good lesson.. not in blowing, but in shifting gears and all..

HAHAHA!! I was gonna ask the guy if he could let his wife meet my wife!!!! That's pretty powerful.
Sorry to the original poster. I feel bad for your predicament. Once I let my wife drive my former 911 for about 3/4 mile and I swear she must have put about 500 miles of wear and tear on it. I could smell clutch all the way. Brrrrr! I still shudder thinking about it......

Grrrrr
we'll, it lasted for 32k miles (puke). Now i have to admit this is my fault too as I was ok with her learning to drive a stick in the 545i. Long story short, it's fried (what a smell). At the dealer now getting it replaced (2200-3000 dollars). Think she and I will switch cars now. My daily driver (Jeep SRT8) has adjustable pedals so it's better for her. My wife is 5'4" so she's pretty close to the wheel and thus on top of the clutch pedal and more likely to ride it....hence wear thus a nice bill. In the last couple of months I have noticed that if I give a good amount of gas that the engine rpm's get up there faster...which in turn I think was some slippage.
I need to buy stock in BMW![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
