Congrats xBMWx,

What a nice looking car, Pete

Good pics and very nice reporting, much appreciated!

Even if I'm happy with my M57D20TU engine (177 hv@4000 rpm and 350 Nm@1750-2500rpm)
I probably would like to have a bit more torgue at lower rpm (just like in the 525d).

My cars consumpion has been 6,3 l / 100 km according to the iDrive
and 6,5 calculated with the trip meter and filled diesel.

Please send in some pics of your car with the 166 rims on!

Hi Ric,

Pleased to hear you're enjoying your 520d. I sometimes think it would have been smarter to go for that engine as well because my 6cyl really drinks a lot of fuel when I put the pedal down, however like you pointed out above, the extra torque at lower rpm in the 6cyl is just great.

As for pics of my ride with the 166 rims on, you'll find a couple in the E60.NET European meet pictures (see my signature). With the good weather now, I'll probably do a bit of a photoshoot and post something up in the near future...

cheers,
Pete
