Hi everyone! I just purchased an 05 530i with the sport package a couple of weeks ago. It's my first BMW, and based on the last couple of weeks it will probably be the first of many. I've always owned Asian imports until now. My last few cars have been a 2000 Infiniti Q45t, 03 Acura TL type-S, and the car I just traded...a 03 Infiniti M45. I'm going to miss the brute power of the M, but the rarity of the car made it almost impossible to find any aftermarket parts for it. It was also great to pull up to people and ask me "What kind of car is that?". I hated to let that car go, but the warranty was almost up and various electrical issues told me it was time.
I've been reading through the forums for the last few weeks and I wanted to say thank you for all the ideas you've given me. (my wallet hates you all though...lol)
I'll post up some pics when the snow melts and I can actually clean my car up.

Hey - I just got my first Bimmer this year too. My fam and I are die-hard asian import people, but I jumped to the german side of things late last year and I must admit - there's nothing like it. I dont think Im going to own anything else, besides a 911 turbo eventually haha.
Well done, once you've owned a bmer no going back!
Re Infinity's, when I was in the states on holiday I really liked the coupe, the big wheel SUV/ sports car V8 thing etc.
(sorry team USA - I am pretty sharp re southern hemisphere/UK/Euro cars - but the USA is whole different bag! - I am sure you guys get it when you travel out of the US)
Have to agree with the previous comments, that Infinity is not that flash. sorry.
Everyone is allowed one slip up, I had V70 Turbo Volvo a couple of years ago, I have no excuse other than I was a new dad - and my previous car was a 5 series...I'm back in a 5 series and have never looked back!
(PS I am not volvo bashing - my son (who's now five) has one in his future! a 2.5 ton monster with detuned 2 litre engine....)
Cheers

Maybe it's trying to run away from itself?
j/k
It's all good.

"Cult" being the operative word. There's an obvious reason why the thing never took off here. There's no denying that it could run, but it's just as ugly as it is fast.
