stealerships lie all the time! i've caught so many of them especially since i sell the ipod interface which requires mp3 capability. you would be amazed how many try to charge for it although it's supposed to be FREE!
Anyway, they don't just clear 1 code. they'll most likely clear them all at once. then the ones that are still faulty re-appear. they can clear codes independant of each other. otherwise it'd be pretty crazy!

Here in dublin the dealers will make up any old s**t to get out of spending more money after
the initial sale.
I traded my '00 e39 530d for a '04 e60 530d in august and i have been back to the dealer six times
over various issues, which some are still not sorted.
On a more positive note, I like this car, I haven't been able to get properly aquainted on account
of the bad weather.
