you seem to be having a hard time digesting my words ... i mean after i past the 1/4 mark a little after i mean mabey 100 ft or 200ft in tip tronic mode i was at 130 mph plus ..in auto mode i was at about 110 so .. i have many motorcycles and cars before im 25 years old and believ me i know how to shift and when to the tiptronic mode is controlled by the ecu and when it senses the cars speed to be low it will not kick up to higher gear under hard acceleration .... i hope this clears things up ...

Did you read my last reply? About adding your results? And, there is a kills thread in the "The Competition" section--where you could add your kills. In that section, just search on "Kills," and you will find the thread.

Glad to see we have a 550 with some testing info.I believe your words are clear on the "tiptronic" run but it is not possible to accelerate from 100 mph to 130 mph in only 100 to 200 feet. That is the point that is not clear.I am 66 years old and have made thousands of 1/4 mile runs and it would take about 1000 HP to achieve that much acceleration in 200'.

The 13.7 at 104 is a good starting time for tests, but I am sure as you get more miles on your car and experiment with different starting methods you will improve those numbers. You must check out Znods threads.there is a wealth of info on 545 testing. My best uncorrected for weather time is 13.25 at 106.3.This was done in very cold and dry weather conditions. Also I can duplicate my times weather in D or "tiptronic" mode,or with DTC/DTS on or disabled. It all depends on how much wheelspin I get.

Check out post #65 on this link/thread. It may help some.

This thread confuses me, and isn't overly helpful.

I am well aware how fast a 550 accelerates in any gear.I have plotted the acceleration rate of my 545 in every gear thru the 1/4 mile.I have more than 50 1/4 mile runs with my car of which 42 are faster than13.7 sec.So at this point my 545 accelerates faster than your 550.This may change as you get more miles on yours and perfect your methods.Your car accelerates at about 4 mph/sec at 100 mph.If I calculate your speed at 115 mph(1/2 way between 100 & 130)you are traveling 169'/sec.So if I divide 30(the diff between 130 & 100) by 4 I get 7.5 seconds to reach 130 mph.Traveling at 169'/sec you have to travel 1267' past the end of the 1/4 to reach 130 mph. These figures may not be perfect but they are close.

I also noted that your 330' time is unrealistic.A time of 5.2 sec would equate to a 1/4 time under 13 sec.I believe that time is more like 5.8 sec for 330'.Having read plenty of drag strip time slips I noted that the printout is hard to read sometimes and a 8 may look like a 2.The other numbers are as expected.
