Go the kiwi's on the E60 Forum!

You'll love 545 in Auckland, I've had mine for 6 months and I am still surprised how much I like it!

Let me know if you've still got the OEM M-Sport wheels as I would be super keen to pick them up - if you traded them, please let me know the tire dealer...

Why would you buy an HSV?

Cheers

I have just landed in New Zealand this 2004 545i motorsport with 18,000km from Japan. This model sells in NZ new for $NZ160,000..=US$115,000....total cost including GST and shipping $NZ60,000.Great saving on new ex Japan. The condition is grade 6 ..which is as close to new as you can get. Have removed the motorsport wheels and fitted these M6 AutoArt wheels...rapt with the aggresive look. Tossed up whether to have silver centres but got the best deal ever on the black centres with a 4"f 6"r polished lip...These wheels were on the agent for BBS and Autoart here in NZ on his personal car.
Have changed all front lights that are not xenon to bright white...just hate the yellow OEM.
Things on the to do list...front door tints 35% is darkest legal. M5 Mirrors, maybe some carbon including total roof.....needs to be 15mm lower in rear..diffuser??quads??
Nice to back in BMW after a year in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo..which are NZ$300,000.
Wow, that wheel must have really been out of round if it took a cell phone to balance it. We generally just use little lead weights here in the States! Seriously though, beautiful car. Enjoy!

What an amazing deal ! You could make a decent living reselling cars from Japan
Hi ..yes it's big business some dealers bring in 300-700 cars a month. For private imports you can import 5 cars per year only ..but then thats 5 for me ,5 for the wife , and 5 for everyone else that you can muster...so yes a good earn.Cheers

Lookin' good mate.

I'm another Kiwi on the forum, although an Absolutely Positively Wellingtonian!

Did you import it yourself or going through a broker? Thinking of picking the missus a nice 1er and not having to pay the inflated prices at the dealers.

Hi ..No did it all myself from www.japaneseusedcarauctions.com ...Not big on giving the the NZ car stealers another $20kand some when it is so easy...The exchange rate can be fun with the US economy as it is... it went from $Y88 to the kiwi$ down to $Y76 so that can change the cost by 3000 grand.
I have to upgrade my son's BMW so have been watching for a 2003 330i should cost around $NZ 15,000. The best auction is on a Monday over 10,000 cars.
Cheers from the city of sails....

Hi kiwistu...No sorry not for sale at this stage as I have a M5 in mind once the yen comes right and will need to put the OEM mags back on possibly...just love the look of these and think they could look all OK on a M5...

I'm on Cliff Rd St Heliers if you are around these parts ...come compare...
Cheers Steve
