My 530 with a M5 kit, everything is done, except for the exhaust system,
i heard changing to M5 exhaust will change the fuel consumption on the 530.
Any ideas on whether i should change it?

The real M5 exhaust? I'm not how sure a how an exhaust designed for a V10 would work bolted up to a straight six. A better bet would be to find someone that makes a dual exhaust setup specifically for the 530.

Fuel consumption? I really doubt it. Maybe if they nicked the fuel line when they're installing it.

Edit: You car looks wonderful.

Make a custom catback exhaust: the M5 exhaust would have a too high price

PS :
Wonderful car!

welcome. nice 530 you got there man. i dont know if you have it because i cant tell from the picture in the side grill, but youll hear many opinions about putting on an M5 badge. as for exhaust, you could always go with another quad exhaust. it doesnt have to be off of/for an actual M5. some brands for quad exhaust are rdsport, hamann, eisenmann, or you could just have a custom one made. check out the gallery and the last so cal meet for pictures for reference. and you could find some threads about exhausts in the parts/mods thread. enjoy the forums.

Are you running the M5 rear bumper with the single exhaust? I bet that confuses some people on the road.

Here is a custom Maganflow set-up done on 530i. Just done at a local muffler shop for $600.

That kit looks sweet... Did you install yourself? If you did how long did it take, if not how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?
