Hi forum!

My '06 550i' SMG warranty is about to be up next week..What should I have the dealer check? SMG pump? Any other things to look at??

I would have him check the rubber hosing, the brakes, the control arms, the door seals, the window seals on the outside, i-drive, and of course the SMG fuel pump and clutch...but I was not aware that the dealer would do a service without the idrive indicating it, unless you are paying for it.

Hey, don't worry about the SMG pump. I'm not sure if you read the smg pump related thread a little while ago but our e60's smg pump is very cheap.
There's a repair pump kit AKA remanufactured smg pump for $290 plus shipping(from Garry's) and about $300 in labor. Unlike M cars, where the pump is about $1500-2000. Other than smg pump, there's very little things that can go wrong with the transmission. So I would worry about other stuffs like electrical, idrive failure before worrying about the tranny.

The car is going into BMW of Newport (home of Garry Romani) on Monday. Strange too...all the suddenI can feel the clutch slipping a tiny bit. The car has 36000 miles on it, so its probably time anyway..

I wonder if they will replace it under warranty?? the warranty is still good till Tuesday!
