Anyone like to add some resources for must have tools for your E60, this includes European users
example:

TORX PLUS QUICK BIT TAMPERPRO
5 point star torx use for cleaning MAF Sensor, NOT AVAILABLE at SEARS or Fry's Electronic only 6point star torx
I find it hard to caught out $80 for a 7 piece set

ROTARY GLP30/GLP35/GP30/GP40/XLP25
i don't own a jack but i would not mind to have a scissor lift in my garage

Screw drivers!
Those BMW drivers are the worst, screw them! Oh wait, I might have got this all wrong.
You probably meant screwdrivers

Seriously though, I carry an electric airpump thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Also one of those aerosol cans of foam, although having RFTs I don't expect I'm going to need that. The airpump probably not either. I just transferred both across from my previous car that didn't have RFTs.
