Default Mtech / M5 oem kit.

I guess bmw no longer sells the oem mkit for the E60.

Any options out there? Im a fan of OEM when it comes to body parts.

What do you mean BMW doesn't sell it?

There are 3 trusted options for OEM M-Tech kits on the forum that can help you out:
1) Trinity Autosport (members: Nerweezy and Trinityautosport) - they do sell rep kits, but they also sell the OEM stuff

2) Garry @ Newport BMW (Newport, RI) - He is the parts manager there and offers a discount to forum members

3) Tischer BMW - getBMWparts.com - contact them, they also sell OEM M-Tech kits

Failing any of these, and you are still definite about OEM, you can piece together a kit through salvage yards. Those are roughly the options available. Good Luck

Oh, and Antti (or anyone else familiar with Germany): Isn't there a law in Germany that replacement parts must me made available for X number of years after a car goes out of production?

A dealership gave inaccurate information about parts availability?? - no way!!

I've learned that if something the dealership says/does doesn't feel right, get a second (third, fourth, etc.) opinion. It's quite possible it's not right.

Remember that a lot of the guys who man the parts desks are NOT the sharpest, either.

i remember back near the end of 2011 when i was looking for an OEM Mtech kit, several dealerships i called said that the kit was no longer available. i even called Tischer and the option was not on their website anymore for the LCI E60. now it appears they have it available again on the website at an additional $445 for the LCI when it used to be like $245 more for LCI models.

I think Bimmerzone was carrying the OEM MTech Kit and also mentioned it's been discontinued -

Read this thread, it has some of the information - https://5series.net/forums/vendor-cl...-114904/page3/
