MSV80 DME from LCI 528i ok in pre-LCI silver top?

MSV80 DME from LCI 528i ok in pre-LCI silver top?
I lost the keys to my 530xi long time ago and bought a DME/CAS/key set from eBay to drive the car.
Luck struck today and found a complete set of modules in a junk yard for under $100: CAS/DME/Key/COMBI/CCC/IBOC/BCM.
Will my 2007 silver top (with MSV70 DME) engine run with MSV80 DME?
I am not worried about coding, I can tackle that myself, just curious if the motor will grenade if I start it using the black top MSV80 DME.
