I have burned a DVD+R with Itunes today with about 200 songs.
I tried to play it in my DVD drive in the car but it is taking a long time to load and recognize the songs.
All the titles are on the screen but everytime i choose to play 1 it doesn't take the command.

Am i doing anything wrong???
Should i wait until all the songs are recognised, or shall i scan tracks or ????????????????????????????

It may be your method. I have several DVDs and DVD-DL (8+gb). All work just fine and take only seconds to read. However, using iTunes, I organize my DVDs into folders by artist, then by album folder within the artist, and then, of course, songs within the album. In this way the system is only reading the Artist list (50 maximum so far on my DVDs). It is ready like I said, in just 2-3 seconds. I select an artist and then an album, this being just another 1 or 2 seconds to read. Then I have the song titles. My max right now is 1066 songs on one DVD.

I never have tried to "just" place songs only on a DVD without separating into folders to see what it would do. Maybe mine would do the same as yours.

You mean you can play audio DVDs on the NAV DVD player?? I didn't know this. I have made CDs off iTunes which play fine in my single disc CD player, but never tried DVDs before.

Do you need to convert your iTunes ACC songs to MP3 before copying your them to DVD?

Thanks.

Yes, you must be using MP3 codec not ACC. So you would need to convert to MP3. All my work is with MP3s, having never gone to ACC codec.

Yes, several of us have done this successfully.

Make sure you choose constant bit rate. Not variable bit rate (VBR) which makes BMW MP3 player confused and cannot play the song.
