I just got back from the dealer today, for a transmission leak...I asked Sa while I was there if he would do the mp3 upgrade...He told me it can't be done on my car because of the year...After reading all the post about this topic, I think its bs...He also told me that using burned cd's made from your computer will screw up control unit....Anyone ever here this? I'm in socal and was wondering if anyone local has gone to the dealer and had the mp3 software upgrade...If so, can you tell me what dealer did it...I'll just go to that one instead...
Thanks
Ryan
Thanks

btw, my car is from April 2004 and it works fine. I don't know if in "american speak" that makes it a 2005 model. We don't go in much for this model-year stuff over in europe.

There is a sib for this mp3 retrofit... I think they will charge you the labour for it, 1.5hours if Im not wrong, unless you have a good relationship with your SA... I had my bluetooth, mp3 retrofits done for free.

You can also add Sirius to your car, either via the SA693 package (if your car was ordered with it)-

or install it yourself by following one of these guides-

Good luck.

You can definitely add MP3 capabilities to your car, and they will do it for free, provided your car includes the CCC and was built prior to Oct-05. Here's the SIB that everyone is referring to:
