Hi hope someone can help.

After months of trying I finally got my BMW dealer to activate MP3 Playback on my 2003 E60. What is strange is that as can be seen in the pictures, my car doesn't mention MP3 in the information line on the bottom. On the Dension site it clearly shows MP3 CD 05, but there is no mention of this on mine, just CD 05 001 as it used too. The voice command system mentions MP3 when I say CD 5. Just wondered if it is normal, and do others have a similar problem no MP3 mentioned in the Command line.

On another subject after my Business to Proffesional Sat Nav retrofit, the Sat Nav voice turned into an American woman, while the Voice Command is still the original British one. I read somewhere that the dealers can choose which voice to program e.g English (UK), English (US) does anyone know if this is true? Because I would love to have the voices the same again.

Hi

This is my first ever posting!
Sorry i don't know answer to your question but i am interested in finding out how much it cost you to activate your MP3 playback and where did you get it done?

I have a 2005 E60 with professional sat nav and factory fitted CD changer but no MP3 playback.

Thank you
k4kya

I wish to do the same

You need to get your CCC unit programmed to play MP3's,no other hardware is needed, but some dealer's may say it's not possible but it clearly is as i've done this as well,my BMW specialist here in Huddersfield did mine for ?40!

Mine's like that, but I never thought it was "a problem". I don't see what benefit you'll get by it saying MP3.
