Still confused because of conflicting information. I have ordered 530xd January delivery. My dealer told me that BMW Finland has informed the dealers that Basic radio here in Europe (radio business) will play MP3. Seems to be wrong info. Could anybody confirm Iceman.

Thanks, Iceman. Seems the dealer has it wrong. I try still change my order spec to include pro radio.

To confirm Iceman is correct. As promised in my last post on this, I called BMW UK and they confirmed that Radio Pro is a must for MP3 playability.
What I forgot to ask them though is what's the situation with CD Changer MP3 playability for new cars.
Anybody knows??

There was never even mention of difference (or option) between Business or Professional Radio when I bought my car in 2004 here in Canada. Jeez BMW... :thumbsdown:

I got 535d June 2005 production with Nav Pro and following your statement above I should have the MP3 decoder. Well, I don't!
I wish somebody (BMW?) came with clear and solid answer to the issue.
Any comments?
