I have a 525d loaner while my software is being upgraded. Thought I would give a few MP3 disc's a try. Let me just say - FANTASTIC! We need to be making a very large stink about this feature. I am tired of waiting :'(
Here are some screen shots
EDIT:
Here is a shot of the directory structure on the CD (data CD)

I never get a 5er for a loaner. I usually get an older 3 series. But it makes me miss my car more.
mp3 is very nice. They have screwed around with us to much over it.

525d loaner , is that a software upgrade. The picture that I see from the i screens you posted is something I was looking forward to install but need to know what is required. My black beauty is a 520i March 05.

This works as described on my 2003 525 since upgrade to 17.

upgraded to 17 to fix an I drive fault..

My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
Pro Radio with MP3 is an option in the UK. It gives you playback from the CD player slot in the dash. you can get approx 120 tracks in a CD in MP3 format.
