Mine doesn't work either.

Does it say anywhare that the 5 is supposed to play MP3s.

someone form other post last week claimed that his car could play mp3 files. so..we all eager to know the truth.

I think the people who claim it works are unknowingly converting the files during the burn process.

In other words, the burning software is doing a conversion to a format that the car can play but the user is unaware of that process so they think they are playing MP3's since that's what they think they burned.
