MP3 CD Play Back on 11/2003 E60

Hello everyone,
I have a 11/2003 production year E60.
It has the logic7 system with in dash cd player and 6 disc changer in the glove box with no nav.
Can my system play MP3 CDs?
Have I burnt MP3 cds following the tread below.

But I get the error 'unsupported media'
My car is out of warranty and I want to make sure that a CIP update will fix issue before I go to the dealer.
Does anyone know how much it will cost for CIP update?
I went into secret I drive menu and I think that my CIP version is 21 ( I 06 -03-510-05112 2) please correct me if im wrong.

Sorry, non-Nav cars of that early vintage cannot play MP3's. Different computer from Nav equipped cars.
You can swap the 6-disc changer (cannot play MP3's there either!) for the iPod interface. I did it on my Jan '04 build 545 and its works well through the iDrive controls.
