MP3 CD
So I just got the hardware update for the MP3 CD compatibility and when I'm going through the list of songs, my iDrive control knob doesn't allow me to scroll down properly. It stops me from spinning it and it trys to reset back to the original position. Anyone else get this problem?

That's normal, it's just how it works. You get the same thing in regular iDrive menus if you try and scroll beyond the end of the menus. For some weird reason it doesn't recognize that our list of tracks is a really long menu and that it shouldn't be giving us this forced feedback response until the end of the list, but it does. It's somewhat annoying when you're on track 6 and you want to scroll down to track 150 but that's how it is. I wonder if the hardware that does it can be disabled (by disconnecting something inside) so that it can freely rotate.
The more annoying issue with mp3-s are the fact that you cant scroll inside a song fast enough. I listen to a lot of mixes and sometimes i want to scroll lets say 10mins forward, and it only scrolls in 5sec increments, it will take ages to get to the point i want. And it doesnt support .cue-s as well, the only solution is to cut the mixes to parts, but then its annoying to listen if the track has pauses:-( And ofcourse the other thing is not cool, with business nav you have to have nav dvd in all the time, and therefore can use only mp3 cd-s:-( It would be great if both drives were dvd or you can take the nav dvd out when the destination is set, like the business nav has.
The OP should follow this thread started by someone else today that would like to remove the haptic feedback.
