MP3 CD?

I have a 2005 525i and I would like to know if the cd player will play MP3 cds? I burned a mp3 cd, but nothing happens when you put it into the cd player. 
I know it plays CD-RW cd's, but...

CIP upgrade does not necessarily give you MP3 compatability..You generally need to ask for it specifically or at least that was the case, (dealer dependant I guess). If it's not activated this should be done FOC by your dealer.
Use the search as this has been discussed on many occasions, and there is good info on burn settings etc....
