DAVEYBOY, have you used Nero?
If you burn it with Nero it converts it into wav if you say it is an audio CD...
It can't play MP3's yet, that's for sure!
How many tracks are on the disc?

Right, or it could be that with the MP3 technology in the car, who needs the CD changer....

- Song capacity increases 7-fold. (from 1 disc full of MP3 to 7 discs)
So if a single disc holds 100 MP3 songs (7Meg average), then the whole system with CD changer would hold 700 songs. I could get by without having to get the $250 AUX input to connect my iPod...
Thank you alohalc for your friendly welcome.
Iceman is correct. It is highly probable that Daveboy's CD is a cda file (audio cd) if you burn it as an audio cd in nero. To come up with an mp3 disc I would convert cda & wav files to mp3 first and burn it as data file. The out come is a disc with more than one hundred songs.... again who needs a cd changer.

And Steve Job's iPod was a stupid idea. Who would pay all that money to store 1000's of songs in a small device?
And that was stupid of Creative and Dell and iRiver and and Nuvo and Rio and and Sandisk and Lexar and Samsung and Olympus and RCA and Sony and Archos and GoVideo and ... to go after a multibillion market of MP3 players that could hold more than a 100 songs.
They should have all realized that 100 songs was enough.
Who needs a CD Changer?!?!?

.i have the same thought as well. and that's the reason why i didn't order cd changer for my car
.
i'd rather use the money for a dvd changer .
At the end of the day I think I still have to see for myself if this MP3 really works in the latest 530i. One thing for sure though is this capability is available in the Professional Radio of the 330i.
Again thanks much for your replies, cheers
Hi, I have business nav in may car, and I wait for the new soft which will can
play MP3.
But I have a question: If the player will lay the mp3 and it will show and control
from I drive, will the menu write the files name text like sunshinemix(sunshinemix.mp3)?
Will write out the track name text? Or like the audio cd just the track number?????
Thanks
