Has any one noticed that som e60 radios DONT or CAN'T play mp3's . Checked with local service advisor & he to was surprised, tried loading new program but didn't work either. Then checked out a few other e60's & c'n that som hav a sml mp3 logo in front loader & others like myn don't !!! i was surprised & very dissappinted ..

Your dealer must configure the mp3 option. It will work on your dash cd player NOT the 6 disc changer. Just doing a SW upgrade will not by itself configure mp3, the dealer must activate it. I had mine done on my 2004 and it is perfect.

But it makes no difference to getting mp3 activated
