There is no word yet on whether the USB port can be retrofitted...
It would almost certainly require some additional hardware and software (beyond the connector itself).
If you just want to use an iPod then the MOST kit is a better option anyway as the iPod is in the glovebox instead dangling across the floor at the rear.

Is this MOST kit an interface to allow you view your ipod options on the iDrive? I just use the AUX input at the moment. The dealer (Keanes) wasnt aware of any interface.

You have hit a sore spot...
Not in Europe... we have to pay for everything here.
We might have more choice but we pay through the nose.

Ok short question as i don't want to open another topic:
Will the LCI facelift hit the M5 also? If not then i suspect all those extra options will be available also to the m5 (like lane departure warning for example)?

4M3 Aluminium Cube (M Sport models)
I've ordered a LCI M-Sport and my dealer told me that the Aluminium Cube was discontinued. Instead it should be plain Aluminium for the M-Sport, which look ok. If that's not true I have to order wood or bamboo because Alu Cube is IMO the worst interior trim money can buy.

Now I've checked my order. With the M-Sport (atleast in Sweden) it's 439 Brushed Aluminium. No cubes here...

In the U.S., Auto is no cost on the V-8 only, it is $1,275 on 6 cylinder models. Bluetooth is standard on all.
For 2008 all 5 series have Steptronic auto as no cost option..( refer any info on new facelift 5 series)
Prior to this yes it was not 'no cost option'
Bluetooth is Stanadard on 5 series

In Holland even the standard wheel for an 525d is an 16".
So another thing to pay extra for.
Anyone who knows how a 242 style 16" wheel looks??
