After the tremendous rains on the east coast last week, I noticed that my new (2006 - 1 month old) 525XI had moisture accumulation in the right headlight. I have xenons.
The are no visible cracks in the cover. After a few days of no rain, moisture is still there.
Has anyone had this problem- any recommendations?
I suppose I can take it to dealer but thats valuable time wasted that I would rather avoid...

It's a common thing on e60's. We all have that "Feature".

This is my fourth Bimmer, and I've had those issues on all of them . Luckily I have another vehicle that I drive to work everyday now, so my E60 only gets driven when I want to. If it rains, I try not to take it out unless I have to.

This accumulation is due to the fact that the fan is located on the right hand side of the vehicle - that is what I was told by the dealer. It normally goes away after about an hour of driving.

However, I have a recent complaint which I lodged with the dealer. The moisture actually stayed more than 48 hours after a car wash. They are now making arrangements to replace the right headlight assembly.

Thanks for all the feedback.
This AM while driving, I stopped in at a dealer, not the dealer who delivered the car. The Service Mgr. suggested I make an appointment to have this fixed. This dealer has 3 service shifts (runs 24 hours/day). So I am bringing the car in tomorrow evening and they will look at it and perhaps replace the assembly overnight? I'll report on it once I get th car back.

Those large volume dealer ususally have a 24 hour service centre. They have one in Toronto too, if I remember correctly.
