Hi,
I am new here and just got a 525d from BMW de from August 2004 with Nav Prof. How do i know the version of the nav system?
Where does the MKIV or MKIII enter? And the versions v25, v26 i see around?

The system information on the system menu is here so where do i see what my car has?

I think the MKIII and MKIV nav designations are from pre-iDrive systems.

I don't think I've seen anything that references the E60 to those older version identifiers...

AFAIK BMW E60/61 instead of MKIII and MKIV has CCC.

Thank you for the replies. So what is the version that my car has? CCC? It is a E61 from August 2004 with the system information i posted... Where can i find more info about this? Are the v25 or v26 software updates appliable?

The only software updates that are available for your nav are the ones contained in the "CIP" releases by BMW. I don't think you can update the nav systems the same way you could on the E39 or other models.

The CCC system handles much more than just navigation so if I were you, I wouldn't mess with updating things yourself...

The only "upgrade" you can do by yourself is the new release of DVD MAP Nav.
Currently for NAV Pro Europe there is 2006-1
