When I first bought my 550 my salesman didn't even think the car had a dipstick. Then i walked him to a new 550 sitting on the showroom floor sitting in front of his desk. He raised the hood and I pointed to the dipstick and he pulled it out and he told me that BMW even told them that there was no dipstick in the car. Their showroom car was half a quart low by the way.

No the E90 does not have one that engine was designed to not have a dipstick the only reason why the 550 has one is because its basically the same engine as the 545 bored out more, same design and so they left the dipstick hole there.
