My Ride: 2007 550i, Ordered 3/04/06, Build date : 13th week - Silver Gray Metallic, Gray Leather, Cold WX, Prem. Sound, Sport Pkg., Steptronic, Active steering, Comfort Access, Rear Shades, Nav, HD Radio, Sat Radio // Euro Pickup May 9th, 2007
Default

Finally took the plunge and ordered my '07 550i. Now, to book lodging and plan out the trip. I'm only going to be in Europe about a week and then home again. I hear The Romantic Road is a great ride. Any comments or suggestions from those of you who've gone before? I've been to Munich once before so I'm familiar with the city layout and trains, etc. But, never driven in Germany or elsewhere in Europe. I assume gas prices are 300% of ours and it's going to be the start of high season.

You will have a great time. We did ED in October of 2004. The Romantic Road is nice. We went up to Rothenburg for a couple days then down into Austria and Switzerland for the remaining two weeks. We could easily have spent a month. Get Rick Steve's books for good ideas and search this and other boards for suggestions. Most of all have fun.

Get you Euro Nav DVD before you go, they are cheaper here I beleive.
