Sometimes my in-car microphone will pick up some ugly noises. Voice is there, loud and clear, but there are two kind of background noises very very annoying. So annoying that the one at the other end of the line will usually not be able to continue the conversation. I stopped air conditioning, but it's not that. It happens regardless if I am in motion or not.

Funny thing is that this is not happening all the time, and I first noticed it recently mostly after I installed my CD-Changer and dhanged standard steering wheel with a sport wheel.

I need to mention, that when the microphone is working so badly, the voice recognicion DOES NOT recognize anything (the reason for wich I suspect is the mic) and keep cancelling commands... Sorry? Darn! Also, works badly regardless of whom I am calling or if someone calls me.

Other times, it just work fine. Somebody else experienced this?

I remember reading a while back about a problem with defective telephone mics that needed to be replaced--could be the issue. There is a separate mic for the voice command system, so I'd suggest taking it to the dealer, as it may or may not be the mics.

I have the same problem. I got bluetooth retro-fitted by the dealer. During some conversations using the bluetooth, the other party can not make out what i'm saying. And at other times its very clear. I thought it might be a bad phone connection. But if other people are having the same problem, maybe it is the mic.

Same with me, I believe the mic is the problem , I'll be taking my 05 in for service in a couple of weeks. If the mic is replaced, I'll post the results.
