Thinking of swapping my wheels to BMW style 124, 18 inch and want to put Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres on them (non-runflat) after all the good reports about them on this Forum
Tyre shops say they come in either standard or extra-load (stiffer sidewall) types but do not know which I need
Can any of you guys who have them on your car advise me or check to see which type they are, should be marked extra load or something similar on the sidewall.
I am betting it will need the extra-load type with the performance of the car but could be wrong!!

Thanks

I had the extra load version on my old 330CI convertible. Tyre dealer told me that the weight of my car was 1.500 kgs and the extra load version was more suitable for my car.

If I had to choose a new tyre for my 530i with 18 inch wheels I would go for them again! These babies saved my life in a big carcrash!
