I'm in need of this kit, any chance you remember where, which online site?

For SoCal http://www.thectsc.c...d=186&parent=50

RMEuropean Oil Pan and Filter Kit for Automatic Trans GA6HP26Z Contains: (1) Oil Pan with Filter (1) Oil Pan Gasket (1) Filter O-Ring (1) Drain Plug

For the Mechatronic Sealing Sleeve only: http://www.thectsc.c...&id=3&parent=10

Note: DIY for mechatronic sleeve is not easy because of limited space for removal and installation. Some parts need to be removed to gain access to the wire plug.

The car had the dreaded 2-1/1-2 slam for 5 days after the tranny oil, pan & filter, mechatronics seal sleeve change. But it surprisingly disappeared yesterday and now it drives and shifts smoothly like when it was new, 121,451 miles before . I thought I needed a new mechatronics module to fix it.

They shouldn't be. I've recently spoke to 3 reputable dealers within a 150 mile radius and the TIS specifically states to replenish with new fluid and gives the specific part # for the OE fluid used. I just recently seen this myself. Which reminds me, I have to update the tranny DIY

Sorry this took me so long to see. Attached is a copy of my invoice from the repair. Winslow BMW has been really great with pricing on parts and repairs since I have started going to them (approx 2 years ago). I had some work done at an independent shop once ( and only once now..) and they ended up having to match the dealer on pricing for the repairs. I have noticed pricing can be different depending on the service advisor that I go to. Hopefully this helps for anybody out there looking to have this repair done.

There's a trans update/programing that's supposed to fix this. From what I can tell, when coming to a stop it shifts into neutral instead of first. I had this done on my car after changing pan, fluid, gasket and now I'm really starting to hate it. When the engines cold the RPMS are higher. So when you come to a stop you still get a bit of a jolt because the cars stopping faster. This is the second time I've heard that the slam goes away after a while. I wonder if I can have my programming undone?
