car of 2003 does not play CD-discs. When CD with audio files is putted in, on the display appears title "media can not be read". Probably reason is - the owner of car was messed up the settings. Is there in i-drive menu any possibility to reset all settings?

Threre's no user adjustable setting that I'm aware of that would cause this issue (or fix this issue.)

What car exactly do you have? Is it an E60 or something else? If it's an E60 and a 2003, you have a very early build car and might have trouble getting anything other than a true "Audio CD" (not a "CD with audio files.")

Assuming you are talking about CD audio discs and not MP3 audio, this sounds just like the problem I had where they replaced the CD player under warranty. Problem was sproadic at first but got more and more frequent. And I was using store bought CD's, not burned at home CD's...
