May 2006 5 Series U.S. Sales Report

May sales of the 5 Series were up a significant 34.0% when compared to May of last year. YTD sales for the first 5 months of 2006 were also up 17.9% over the same 5 month period of 2005.

By comparison, sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were up 14.0% with sales of 4,070 units this month and 3,569 units last May. Sales of the MB E Class were up 1.7% for the first 5 months of 2006.

Please note that I report only United States sales data.

Thanks Fred for monthly update!!

Although the total sales of e60 are up. But 530i Sedan is down from 1314 in 2005 to 1290 in 2006.

It looks like the dip in E60 sales last month was due to the 2007 model year start-up with few deliveries in April.
