manual tranny 1-2 feels rough

My Ride: 04 545i 6speed white/black comfort seats,l7,nav,sat,m-tech
When shifting from first to second I can really "feel" the gears. It is almost like a grind, but without the associated noise. The clutch is fully ingaged. It is just not a smooth transition from first to second. The car also lurches easily when engaging second, but I have come to figure thats just how theese cars are. I had the CDV removed a month ago, could this be part of the problem? I havn't noticed much of a difference with it out anyway.

Sounds like farkled synchronizers to me. Have you missed any hard fast 1-2 shifts, especially, or any other hard fast shfits?

None that I can remember, but I'm sure I have missed a gear before. Whats "farkled"?
