I understand last year that they brought out the 06 five series so early in the year since they got new engine upgrades, but what are the 07's doin here so early especially when the only difference is the addition of night vision as an option?

Emissions and some tweaking to the options and standard features.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

Or look at it from this point of view... us 2006/2007 owners may have high mile vehicles for their age. It works both ways and it's relative. But I'm seeing more and more new model years introduced in the spring and not just BMW.
