Nope, definitely not in the armrest. They kindof stay in the cupholder, but it is no perfect fit.

I don't see the big problem though, cause if I have a large coffee, I just put it in the rear cupholder. My seat is always as far back as possible, and the rear cupholders are near enough next to me..

Mebbe 'cuz Rudy couldn't find a sale on the one liter size? [/quote]
The liter size doesn't fit the holder so I'm stuck with the 20 ouncers...

Maybe we should fed ex them a case of Mountain Dew. It'll give them a kick, and they can use the bottles to fix the @#%$!@#%$!@#$% cupholders!

I've been forced to drink out of cans. Open can. Seriously. I like bottles with the lids.

I think the BMW designers get too much free beer (is there such a thing?). They should wait until AFTER the design is done.

I now wish this was the RF forum so I could say what I really think about this post! Completely watered down, wanting to put anything paper or anything open in those cupholders is true insanity. I am very pleased so far with the design and functionality of my E60's cupholders. They have securely held everyting I've tried to put in them. Nothing paper...nothing open...ever. Doing so will likely result in at least a very dirty interior and at worst, a major accident. Let's stop, already, please. I'm a US citizen, born and raised and I'm not pleased with the reputation we're getting with our esteemed neighbors across the pond. Thanks.

Dear me, I obviously have no idea how to drive a BMW. It never occurred to me that anyone would actually ever use a cupholder. I knew what they were for, but I really thought they were just a bit of design fun. DO people use them???? In England????
Why?????
