Going back to OP's post.. I think this is what he is asking..
The car has about 60K and he has replaced / Fixed the following
(1) cracked vacuum lines
(2) injectors
(3) HPFP
(4) DVD Unit
Now he is recommended to change "thrust arm bushings", this is normal at 60K? (I am not counting cracked rims or oil change)

How did your DVD unit go out?

The only times I have heard it crapping out was due to burned discs.

My disc is an original OEM disc. I burned a copy of my disc as an ISO for a friend that bought a car without a disc. Would that have affected my unit?

It could be the module i had the same problem where it constantly froze the navi.
Had it replaced under factory warranty.
You should try different dealership. They might just do verything under cpo.

I've got an '05 545i with just over 72K miles on it. Outside of normal and routine maintenance items, battery, tires, brakes, oil changes, brake fluid flush, etc., the only thing that has gone bad on it was the coil on one cylinder resulting in the car misfiring. Of course, all of those routine maintenance items are a lot more expensive on a BMW than any other car I have owned.

Well.... not actually, I had a 2005 545i with 96,000 SMG tranny for about year and the only thing I had to replace was the SMG Pump. I sold the 545 cause it was reaching 100k and I was afraid it'll start to give me trouble, little did I know. I sold it and bought a 2009 550i 50k it's 2 months old and already it's misfiring, idling funny, I got plugs and a pair of coils replaced and it's still not idling right! Go figure

Not necessarily, I am using burned Disc for the past 4 years (OEM is intact at home). Of-course you need to use the best media disk available.

Let me see, at 124K miles-- Fixed leaks (alternator bracket mount gasket, timing cover l and r gaskets, valve cover l and r gaskets, vacuum pump gasket), new set of spark plugs, transmission oil and filter/pan with mechatronic sleeve change-- all for $700, labor only. I spent more on repairs on my Maxima than my 545i. The mods are . . . that's a different story.
