Dear all
I have the same issue as Parmblagan. I have a 525d as well and on the MAF there are no obvious screws which you can undo to remove the actual sensor bit.
The MAF seems solid plastic as per the pics taken by Parmblagan. Any ideas how to clean the sensors in this scenario?
Thanks!

anyone know where to get the bit for the security hex screws on the MAF housing? I bought a Bosch set from Lowes, but they are too narrow to accommodate the pin...

I had to do this almost yearly on my 911. I just used electrical contact cleaner and it worked like a charm. Not for mpg so much as the intake I had madeit dirty fast and it would throw CE lights every 5-6k miles. This is pretty normal on most hot wire cars.
