Someone can confirm but I heard that you won't need the switch. However for my case it would be nice to have especially if you have to squeeze into a narrow space an can fold your mirrors in on demand with a switch. Everytime I go to my in-laws, I have to get out of the car to fold the mirrors in so that i can drive through their narrow gate.

Correct, you don't need to fork more money for the inside switch as the keyfob folding will work w/o the switch but if you need on demand fold then you'll need the switch ...
Sometime playin' around and watch how the M5 mirrors folding and then auto un-fold itself when the car start to move at certain speed just simply priceless![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

the downside of not having the switch inside is that when you unlock the car you have no choice but for the mirrors to unfold. whereas if you fold it with the inside switch they dont unfold on unlock but instead unfold with speed as your door locks.
